This site is where we test Globat shared web hosting.

In addition to standard tests we also make sure it runs the b2evolution blog software without any glitches.

Globat now offer both:

Globat continues to have the best support for b2evolution among all shared hosting providers.

They did it again!

This time they didn’t just provide the latest stable release as an easy 1-click install. Now they also have b2evolution 2.0.0-alpha!

That is pretty impressive. To my knowledge, no hosting company has ever trusted us so much they would offer install of our alpha software to their customers and then handle tech support for it!

How cool is that?

I must say I’m really happy about this. It took Globat a little longer than expected to get the 1 click install for b2evolution done, but still… they are the first hosting company to offer automated install of b2evolution version 1.10! (and of course they offer the very latest 1.10.2!)

The way they do it is even easier than Fantastico. All you need to enter is the directory where you want to install b2evoltution on your web site (leave it empty if you want to install at the root.)

After that it will take care of everything for you, copy files, create a database + user, install everything, set file permissions, etc.

All there’s left for you to do is log in and start blogging.

Globat is using a custom control panel of their own, not a packaged solution like cPanel or Plesk. Thus they also have their own software installer (i-e they don’t use Fantastico.)

The good news is that they are actually going to support b2evolution and wrap up a 1-click installer for them.

The even better news is that they seem motivated enough to be able to offer new versions of b2evolution faster than Fantastico and possibly any other host on the planet!
